(iMASTERS) PRO-SHOT,1965.8.15-NEW YORK,57min.
The latest IA remaster by a famous maniac has become the highest quality video ever, and it is now available as the first from the new label iMASTERS!
On August 15, 1965, the Beatles' third tour of the United States took place at Shea Stadium, a large venue with a capacity of 60,000 people. This major event was filmed on color film by Ed Sullivan Productions in order to preserve it as a video work, but unfortunately due to fatal flaws in cinematography and especially in terms of recording, it was edited for broadcast once in 1966, but has not been properly softened as an official Beatles film work ever since.
Thousands of bootlegs have already been made, including a version that aired on BBC-TV in 1966, a version that aired on ABC-TV in 1967, a version that was released on a videocassette in 1978, a version that was digitally telecine and voice remastered in 1991, and the movie "Eight Days A Week" in 2016 There have been many additions to the release, such as 4K remastered versions, as well as versions that have been reconstructed by bootleggers by scraping together various fragment sources.
Anyway, there is a problem with the "sound" of the Share Stadium performance, and it seems that the official side is also having a hard time with the anthology and the movie "Eight Days A Week". In the case of bootlegs, it is common to see them replaced with those from the Hollywood Bowl performance in the same year.
In this 2023 remastered version, the sound makes use of the original voice as much as possible, and the elements missing for each song are compensated for from different performances (mainly the Hollywood Bowl performance in the same year) using AI separation technology, and the video is based on the 1991 Ron Fermanek version, and by combining them, the original performance is centered as much as possible, adjusted so that you can watch it as a live video that is easy to watch.
"I Feel Fine" and "Ticket To Ride", which had been replaced by additional recordings at CTS Studios in the official version, have been restored to focus on the original performance, and the unbalanced "Act Naturally" has been readjusted to make it easier to listen to. In order to revive the realism of the original sound source, which lacked a sense of realism as a whole, AI remixes have been applied to the entire film. In addition, the audio of the Beatles' interview, which was also cracked in the documentary before the main concert, has been replaced with another source that is much clearer, making it easier to listen to. "Help!" However, the defect of the original sound source was too large, so I remixed it so that I could enjoy the performance of the day as much as possible, except for the performance of the Hollywood Bowl performance.
We hope that you will enjoy the excitement of a concert event at a large-scale outdoor stadium, which was said to be the first in history at the time (although not strictly speaking, the first in history), with an original sound source plus a sound source that enhances the sense of realism by AI remixing. And in the documentary video, it is an item with Japanese subtitles, which confirms that this share stadium performance has been studied more deeply.
